Challenge Course

With over 40 elements nestled in towering pines, Camp Allen provides customized challenge course experiences for groups of all ages and demographics.  At Camp Allen, we have a low elements course, a high elements course and an Adventure Summit that focus on group development, as well as personal growth.  Facilitators who have been specifically trained for these activities run all three courses.

Challenge Course

Initiatives + Low Ropes

Initiatives and low ropes are all about the team!  These elements are designed to strengthen a group's dynamic by enhancing communication, trust, cooperation, and decision making skills.  Initiatives are games or activities that provide a framework for a group of individuals to become more comfortable working together to solve problems.  Low ropes consists of cables, ropes, and other physical obstacles ranging from 1-12 feet off the ground that challenge individuals and groups to work together to accomplish a task.

Traditional High Ropes

The traditional High Course involves challenges experienced by individuals, partners, and groups at a height of twelve to forty feet above ground level that can teach balance, coordination,a nd concentration along with a great sense of confidence, positive view of self, and leaping beyond the barriers of perceived limits.

Adventure Summit

This high course is our newest addition to our challenge course. It consist of a circuit of 10 elements at a height of 40 feet. This is meant to challenge an individual physically and mentally. Finish your experience with a 485 foot zip line. Safety and ease-of-use of this course are highlighted by this course’s utilization of the latest Swiss "Safe-Roller" system of continuous belay, with no need for belay transfers thus allowing seamless transfers between elements. The Adventure Summit can accommodate up to 25 people actively engaged in the course at the same time.
