Trent: This page is looooooooooooong. I wonder about a "Preparing for camp" page that has that info separate. Not essential, and maybe there's a better way.

Camp Tuition

Summer camp tuition for 2017 is $618 and includes all lodging, meals, activities, arts and crafts, daily canteen, a campsite group photo, and access to a session video.    This fee includes the $206 deposit which is required when registering your camper . The deposit is non-refundable unless registration is denied due to lack of space or medical concerns upon arrival.  All remaining balances are due by April 1, 2017. Click (here) to register.

Campers are divided into different campsites according to grade, Primary (3rd-4th), Middler (5th-6th), and Junior High (7th-9th) or Senior High (10th-12th). Campers stay in air conditioned cabins which are separated by gender; each with 8-12 campers and two counselors. Every campsite has its own meal times and activities.

Session Info

Registration begins each Sunday at 4:00 PM. Pick up is Saturday at 9:00 AM. Sessions are led by clergy, youth ministers or lay adults who are leaders in the Episcopal Church and have undergone child-abuse prevention training and background checks in both criminal and sexual abuse databases. All summer staff, both paid and volunteer, are thoroughly screened and trained.

We believe that every child should have an opportunity to experience a week of camp. While Camp Allen is an affordable summer camp option for many families, we recognize that due to various circumstances, not every child or family is able to come on their own. Our Scholarship Fund provides partial tuition to families in need. Scholarship Applications can be found here. If you’d like to donate a scholarship, click here.

Dietary Needs

While Camp Allen does not accommodate individual diets, gluten free options will be offered for Sessions J, K, and L. Additionally, alternatives such as cereal, salad, PBJs, and fruit are offered at all meals throughout the summer.

Camp Allen nurses will administer all medications to campers. If your camper needs to take medication at camp, you must turn it into Camp Allen nursing staff at registration. Please make sure all medication is in it's original pharmacy labeled container with your campers name.  Loose pills in unmarked containers or bags will not be accepted.

Campers with Special Needs

Camp Allen does not provide programs that are rehabilitative or therapeutic in nature, and does not specialize in serving children with special needs, including children with severe emotional, social or behavioral difficulties. However, Camp Allen does strive to provide a positive camp experience for children with various needs whenever possible. If you have questions about this policy, please contact the Summer Camp office at 936-870-2406.
